The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Sales Manager to lead our dealership sales team. The successful
candidate will be responsible for driving vehicle sales performance, developing high-performing sales
executives, and ensuring every customer receives an exceptional buying experience.
This role requires a strong leader with excellent commercial acumen, a passion for the automotive industry,
and the ability to motivate a team to consistently exceed sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed monthly sales objectives.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximise dealership profitability.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance and report on key performance indicators.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop Sales Executives to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Manage customer enquiries and assist with complex negotiations and deal structuring.
  • Oversee vehicle stock management in collaboration with dealership management.
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, manufacturer standards, and industry regulations.
  • Work closely with the Finance & Insurance department to maximise finance and value-added
    product penetration.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer demand to identify sales opportunities.
  • Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and promptly resolve escalated customer
    concerns.
  • Ensure accurate completion of sales documentation and dealership reporting.
  • Foster a positive, high-performance culture built on accountability, teamwork, and customer
    excellence.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in automotive vehicle sales.
  • Previous experience in a Sales Manager or Assistant Sales Manager role is highly advantageous.
  • Valid South African driver’s licence.
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Computer literacy and experience using dealership management and CRM systems.
  • Sound understanding of vehicle finance processes and dealership operations.
